モイストエミです。
２０１２年になりました。
みなさん、今年もよろしくお願いします。

ひきつづき、モイストメンバーそれぞれ、それぞれの道をまっしぐら中です。

ホームページをきれいにしようかなーって思ってます。
言わないとやらないので、言いました。

今年はどんな年になるのかな。
いい年にしたいと思います。
いろいろガンバリマッスル。

みんなの今年も、いい年になりますように。

ご無沙汰しちゃった。

モイストエミです。みんな、元気かい？

モイスト、すっかり放置しちゃったなり。てへっ。

余裕がなかったよ。多分。あんまり。エへへ。

最近やっと、ちょっと余裕が出てきたところ。

 

モイストメンバーは、只今、それぞれ充電中です。

モイストユウコは、東京で、靴作りの修行中。

モイストデイヴは、しばらくイタリアにいて、この夏カナダに戻って、この秋から学生さん。

モイストマイクは、カナダで、フリーのデジタルクリエイティブ。

私はカナダに移住して１年ちょい、やっとこ、だんだん慣れてきているところ。詩人風。

そんなんで、なかなか４人そろっての活動ができないのだけれど、ときどき近況など、報告しますね。

作りかけの曲も、いくつかあるのです。

 

日本のこと、震災以降、たまに心配になり過ぎちゃったりして、気持ちが沈むようなときもあるけれど、

少しずつ、少しずつ、東北が、日本が、復興していく様子、進んでいく様子、がんばっている方たちの、そのきらめきのようなものは、遠く離れたカナダからも、はっきりと見えている気がしています。

 

世界中で、色んなことが起こってて、自分たちにも、色んなことがありながら、私たちは、毎日を暮らしてる。

それでも私は、この世界は段々に、いい方向に向かっているに違いないと、思っています。

少しずつ、少しずつ、自分たちの力で、変えながら、進んで行ける。

そのために、思いついた些細なちっちゃい幾つかの楽しいアイデアを、躊躇しないで、コツコツやっていこうと、私は思っているのです。

We’re thinking of you all and hoping for the best in this difficult time.

 

Emi and Mike are in Canada, and Dave is in Italy, far away from the devastation. Yuko is in Tokyo, safe for now, and waiting, like everyone else, for good news.

 

We know Japan is strong, and will make it through this terrible tragedy, and we want you to know that we’re all supporting you, through our words, our music, our thoughts, and indeed our donations.

The Luminato Festival was a fantastic experience for all involved.  The girls got professional make-up, the boys got lots of food, and the crowd got moist!

BIG NEWS! The Moist Towelettes will be playing Luminato on June 16th in Yonge/Dundas Square, Toronto—opening for the legendary Maki Nomiya! If there’s a Moist show not to miss, this is it!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our show last Sunday. It was a rousing success (and packed to the brim)! While this may be our last show for a while, it’s certainly not the end of the Towelettes. Stay moist!

Really! Don’t be tardy! This may be the last performance (or at least one of the last) of The Moist Towelettes in Tokyo! Who knows what the future will hold? You can only be certain of this show.
We’ll be joined by the fantastic Naotaka Brothers, who will charm their way into your hearts.

Thanks to Les Bébés Requins we had a fantastic gig in Sherbrooke! The crowd, bands, club, poutine were all wonderful. The only slip-up was that Yuko & Emi greeted the audience with “Bonjour Montréal!” They couldn’t understand why the audience was laughing so hard.
After a long and delicious french Canadian brunch with our new friends we headed back to Toronto and soon after back to Tokyo.
